History of Lino's

Lino's Coffee roasting plant was established in Sorbolo in 1990. At the beginning it was a small craft workshop producing exclusively for retail sale.In addition to coffee the company began selling pastries as well in order to provide a complete based on high-quality craftsmanship. In 1992 Lino's began to collaborate with Greci Prontofresco (a company is distributing coffee all over Italy). This development was followed by the relocation and enlargement of the originally a small roasting plant to a medium-sized one (its workshop size doubled).

In 1995 Lino's Coffee was expressly invited to join the SCAE (Specialty Coffee Association of Europe) gathering the most important operators in the field of coffee excellence. This represented a very important achievement for the company.

In the same year it started to distribute coffee to the first Espresso Points.

In 1997 the coffee roasting plant was moved to Neviano degli Arpini where the Orzo Parma, project a hyperlocal product supply chain named Organic Oasis, was started.

Two years later the first Lino's Coffee shop was opened in Nazario Sauro Street in Parma, thus laying the foundation for it's future as a strong franchising networks of shops sharing a passion for finely brewed coffee.

In 2001 the first Lino's Coffee shop was opened outside the Province of Parma, in Vadana. The following year the company's first line for its own label of coffee products washed.

Lino's Coffee became a popular brand in the Province of Parma and the surrounding area. Many innovations were introduced and its sales outlets such as bookcrossing intiatives aimed at turning Lino's Coffee shop not only into bars where you could quickly drink a coffee but in certain places where people could exchange culture and ideas.  Among various activities undertaken worth nothing are the creation of the Lino's Magazine and the "Travel with Lino's" initiative.  In the meantime the company started to expand internationally, opening its first company atelier in Bratislava-Slovakia.

In 2005 the company was bought by an English fund and within a year, thanks to the opening of twelve new locations, it included over thirty branches and two hundred employees.

A period of rapid growth followed: the opening of eleven additional Lino's coffee shops in Italy in 2006 and sixteen more in 2007.  This was just the beginning, though.  The company aimed at expanding abroad: in 2008 the first Lino's Coffee Shop was opened in Dubai.  In the same year in addition to the franchising network a new product called "Linea Bar" was launched in order to foster the distribution of Lino's Coffee products in bars.

Lino's Coffee is a very dynamic company always looking for ways to innovate and experiment.  In 2010 it started to expand its product line to include food, ice cream and yogurt in addition to its classic cafe services, in order to offer its affiliates new business opportunities through the use of typical Italian products and at the same time innovative recipes.
